JOGJA-NETPAC ASIAN FILM FESTIVAL

Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival (JAFF) was held since 2006 as a gift from the Yogyakarta film community welcoming Yogyakarta's 350th birthday. Currently the only film festival that focuses on the development of Asian cinema, includes film screenings, public lectures, workshops and community forums . Various programs were presented in a series of JAFF events, the program was carried out to realize the vision and mission in regenerating film activists in Indonesia and to help advance the development of the film industry in Indonesia. For the JAFF Movie Night pre-festival as a regular screening program every month is awaited by many film lovers in Yogyakarta. JAFF Movie Night has been carried out since February 2017 and is consistent to date, playing films from JAFF 1-13 and community films that have not received their own playroom. At the end of the screening session discussions were held with filmmakers. The Open Air Cinema program, which is a film screening activity in villages in Yogyakarta Province, was carried out since 2006 in order to revive the enthusiasm of the people who lost many family members due to the 2006 earthquake. Each operation is able to bring in 500-3000 people of the village.
